Riyadh Al-Ruwais 
Partner at STC Ventures

Riyadh joined STC Ventures Fund in November 2011 as partner to source and evaluate deals in the startups segment and structure the fund investment in the deal and manage the investment and develop exit plan for this investment. Riyadh has more than 20 years' experience in the telecom’s industry and investment in same sector. Recently Riyadh worked as portfolio management director for STC Group. His responsibilities included performing equity valuations and financial analysis, analyzing and measuring the risk profile of the assets, evaluating and recommending investments, diversification and liquidation strategies, and measuring the financial & operational performance of STC subsidiaries. Riyadh managed the structure and establishment of a number of investments for STC Group. Prior to that Riyadh worked in STC Group as future mobile technology director. In this position Riyadh was responsible for identifying and recommending new technologies that potentially provide new services to STC’s customers and/or solve current network problems, resulting in a reduction in capex and opex, and leading to enhance network performance.

 

Riyadh has an MBA and also a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from King Saud University.

Aulia "Ollie" Halimatussadiah
Co-Founder & Chief Content Officer at Zetta Media

Aulia Halimatussadiah (Ollie) is the Co-founder and Chief Content Officer of Zetta Media Network. Zetta Media is a digital media network focusing on building inspiring stories from real people for the youth in Indonesia. She helped shape the writing and publishing industry in Indonesia with her startups NulisBuku.com, an online self publishing platform with 150,000 writers and Storial.co, a story sharing platform that allows writers to write and collaborate online in chapters. 

She's a writer of 28 books, varied from novels to how-to books. She was selected as Kartini Next Generation, Inspiring Woman in ICT 2013 by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Republic of Indonesia. 

She actively organized #StartupLokal, the biggest startup community in Indonesia, and Girls in Tech Indonesia, to encourage more women to use technology to improve lives. She's been a mentor for young mentees in entrepreneurship.

Christine Herron
Managing Director at Intel Capital

Christine Herron is an investor with Intel Capital, where she co-leads Intel Capital’s Diversity Fund, and leads investments in early-stage companies. She is responsible for diversity investing across Intel Capital sectors, to support technology companies founded or run by women, underrepresented minorities, LGBT, or veterans. At Intel, Christine's direct portfolio includes 500 Friends (ACQ: Merkle), Ark, betaworks, Brit Media, E la Carte, Funders Club, Goldbely, Jelli, Movable Ink, NewAer, SmartZip, Storenvy (ACQ: OpenSky), Two Bit Circus, and Yummly, and Intel Education Accelerator companies Comprendio, Griti, HSTRY, Immersed Games, and Vidcode.

Christine earned an MBA from Stanford University and a BA from Columbia University. She is a founding advisor to both 500 Startups and StartX, and currently serves on Alonzo King's LINES Ballet Board of Directors. 

 
Richard Jun

Richard Jun is the Co-founder and Managing Director of BAM Ventures, a Los Angeles based venture capital firm that he started with Brian S. Lee, a serial angel investor and the co-founder of Legalzoom, Shoedazzle and The Honest Company. Prior to BAM, Richard served on Shoedazzle’s senior management team as its General Counsel and helped orchestrate the merger of the company with its largest competitor at the end of 2013.

Before Shoedazzle, Richard headed the corporate practice at Lee, Tran and Liang, a boutique downtown Los Angeles law firm. He has extensive experience in all facets of transactional law having served as outside corporate counsel to a variety of companies across a multitude of industries and stages of growth. Richard has considerable experience counseling clients in a broad array of corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, public securities offerings, secured financing transactions, strategic partnering and licensing technology and intellectual property.

Adrian Li

Adrian is a seasoned internet entrepreneur. In the past 10 years he has been involved in cofounding and operating 6 internet ventures covering eCommerce, media, market place and product based businesses in emerging markets China and Indonesia. He founded Convergence Ventures as a platform to bring together experience, network and capital to help empower entrepreneurs to succeed.

Adrian is a business mentor at several start-up incubators and accelerator programs including Endeavor, Founder Institute, GEPI, Ideabox, Incyte and Sky Star Ventures. He is also a long standing member of Entrepreneurs Organisation. He is also involved in non-profit work. He founded and chairs a UK Charity called CNYTrust which since 2001 has continued to raise funds to support children in rural China continue schooling.

 
Michael Ma

Liquid 2 Ventures is a seed fund most notable for being started by Joe Montana, who won four Super Bowls and was the first player ever to have been named Super Bowl Most Valuable Player three time. When Joe started the Liquid 2 Ventures in 2015 he tapped Michael Ma and Mike Miller to be the other founding partners.

Prior to Liquid 2 Ventures, Michael was a founder of TalkBin, a Y Combinator backed startup acquired by Google, Inc in 2011. At Google, Michael was the lead mobile product manager for Google My Business.

Pravan Malhotra
Venture Capital at the International Finance Corporation

Pravan heads Internet Investments in Asia for the Venture Capital team at International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group. IFC has invested over $1 billion in venture capital investments and the portfolio in India includes Lenskart, BigBasket, MyUniverse, NephroPlus, Azure Power and Portea Medical. Prior to joining IFC, Pravan was a Principal with ORIX Venture Finance in New York. He has also worked with Metropolitan Venture Partners, a transatlantic venture capital fund in New York, and Global Bridge Ventures, an emerging markets focused venture capital fund in San Francisco. Pravan holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. 

 
 
Irzan Raditya
Founder at Kata.ai

Enhanced with a strong technical background and his set of diverse skills in entrepreneurship, Irzan Raditya is a man of concept and cutting-edge ideas. Upon his graduation from University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Economics in Berlin (HTW Berlin) in 2012, Irzan had worked at some notable startup players in Europe startup scene, such as Rocket Internet's Zalando and Takeaway.com.


In June 2015 he co-founded YesBoss, a chat-based personal assistant service in Indonesia –backed by notable VC in the region like 500 Startups, Convergence Ventures, and MDI Ventures– which now has transformed into Kata.ai, the first AI-powered chatbot platform in Indonesia, connecting brands and businesses with their customers through the commonly-used messaging channels.

 
Andrew Romans

Andrew Romans is General Partner and co-founder of Rubicon Venture Capital, a very active early stage VC fund with offices in San Francisco and New York City focused on backing consumer and enterprise technology companies in the internet, software and connected hardware verticals at Late Seed, Series A and B stages. Rubicon raises capital from corporates, individual high net worth angel investors, family offices and institutional LPs creating a powerful network ready to help and go to bat for our startup portfolio. We enable our LPs to co-invest along side the fund on a deal-by-deal basis via innovative sidecar funds right up to IPO or M&A exit.

 
 
Ninou Sarwono

As Emerging Technology Lead at Capital Group, Ninou Sarwono is responsible for leading several initiatives to get Capital Group ahead of the curve on high impact emerging technologies and business opportunities such as blockchain, fintech, robotic process automation, design thinking and artificial intelligence. In his role, collaborating closely with internal leaders, startups, industry subject matter experts, VC investors and established vendors, he leads the market research, experimentation and development of unique perspective, insights and strategy for implementing emerging ideas at Capital Group. He also produces innovation exercises as a method to influence mindset, educate and energize all facet of the organization on emerging technologies. Ninou is a member of FIX Community Digital Currency and Blockchain Working Group.

Prior to focusing on emerging technology, Ninou was the Lead Solution Architect for large complex business and technology transformational initiatives across Capital Group, including digital channels next generation platform and investment management back-office and front-office re-architecture programs. He was a recipient of the inaugural Capital Group Information Technology Group leadership award in 2014

 
David Siemer

Mr. Siemer founded Siemer & Associates, LLC in 2007 to fulfill his vision of a true boutique merchant bank that works with technology, software and digital media companies throughout their complete life cycle. In addition to investment banking, he concurrently founded Wavemaker Partners (formerly Siemer Ventures) to assist early growth technology companies to achieve their full potential. One of the most active investment firms in Southern California, Wavemaker supports close to 100 active portfolio companies and makes an average of 20-30 new investments each year in digital media startups.

He was previously with Montgomery & Co. where he served as a key member of the Digital Media Investment Banking News Corp, Google, Sony, Yahoo!, Hearst, Viacom, WPP and Disney, and he managed equity private placements from multiple venture capital firms and hedge funds.

Mr. Siemer began his career in 1995 at Desco Capital Partners, a Chicago based Internet and software venture fund. Here he managed investments into companies such as: Total Control Products (sold to GE), Conquest Communications (Sold to AT&T), StorageApps (Sold to HP) and Enact Software (sold to Sage SalesLogix).

John Suh

John Suh has served as our Chief Executive Officer since February 2007 and as a member of our board of directors since February 2005. Prior to LegalZoom, Mr. Suh was Chief Executive Officer of StudioDirect, the Internet division of a global supply chain company, Li and Fung. Prior to StudioDirect, Mr. Suh co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Castling Group, helping offline companies create their Internet divisions and launching category leaders such as jcrew.com and hifi.com. Mr. Suh was selected to serve on our board of directors due to the perspective and experience he brings as our Chief Executive Officer and his extensive background in the Internet industry.
Gunawan Susanto

Gunawan Susanto (Gun) is the President Director of PT IBM Indonesia. 

Gun is responsible for the strategic direction of the US based company with more than 430,000 employees across the world and in operations in more than 170 countries. He oversees the company's operations in hardware, software and services in the Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung and Medan offices, including sales and distribution, procurement, global delivery and support functions.

Being part of the local IT industry for over a decade, Gun was recently appointed as President Director of PT IBM Indonesia in 1 April, 2014. Gun began his career with PT IBM Indonesia in 2000 as part of the IBM Team Blue management trainee. In his over 14 years career with PT IBM Indonesia, Gun has taken on numerous leadership roles. He previously served as the Country Manager, Systems & Technology Group (STG) from early 2012. 

 
Bill Reichert

Bill Reichert has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and operating executive. Since joining Garage in 1998, Bill has focused on early-stage information technology and materials science companies. He has been a board director or board observer at CaseStack, WhiteHat Security, ClearFuels Technology, Simply Hired, MiaSole, D.light Design, ThermoCeramix, and VisaNow, among others. Prior to Garage, Bill was a co-founder or senior executive in several venture-backed technology startups, including Trademark Software, The Learning Company, and Academic Systems. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company, Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., and the World Bank. Bill earned a B.A. at Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He was a founding board member and a Chairman of the Churchill Club, and a Board Member of the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs. Currently he is the Chairman of the Small Fund Roundtable of the VC Taskforce and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.

 
Mat Ward

Mat is an experienced sales and business leader, with over 15 years’ experience building and scaling businesses across Asia.  Prior to founding Helpster he launched and built the APAC operations for Lotame, a leading global Data Management Platform focused on the digital media industry.  He was also part of the founding team of Admax Network, growing it to over 120 people across 6 countries in Southeast Asia.  He took over as CEO of Admax in 2010 before exiting to Komli Media in 2012.  He is also an Advisor with Ardent Capital, a Bangkok based VC and Incubator.

 
Nicko Widjaja
CEO at MDI Ventures

Nicko Widjaja is currently serving as the CEO and Investment Director of MDI Ventures, a corporate venture capital arm of Telkom Indonesia. MDI Ventures invested in growth stage companies across 10 countries including: Geniee, NComputing, LotusFlare, aCommerce, RedDot Payment, mClinica, Codapay, Ematic.

He is one of Indonesia’s tech investment pioneers and ecosystem builders. He set up his first venture fund, Systec Group Ventures, in 2010. Then he briefly joined Fenox VC as Venture Partner in 2014 just before joining Telkom Indonesia as Program Director for Indigo Accelerator and later MDI Ventures.
